Disney Contemporary Resort

One of the oldest Disney resorts, Disney Contemporary Resort may seem kind of old-fashioned to some, as it follows the 70s architectural line.

Disney Contemporary Resort was opened in Oct 1972 and has a futuristic design. Its aspect, quite modern at the time, seems rather auster now.

Resort

Theme and atmosphere

It is the least themed of the Disney resorts. The 70s-80s space age style gives the main note of both the exterior appearance and the interior decorations.

The rooms are among the largest at WDW and are very brightly colored (vivid yellow, blue). The furniture is designed in the same style and is vividly colored as well.

Location

Disney Contemporary Resort is located between Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon. It is one of the three Monorail resorts, making it very easy to reach the MGM and Epcot.
