A summit of fluffy white meringue crowns a warm chocolate "mountain" dessert at Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The "Everest Cake," as it is called, is inspired by the newest Walt Disney World attraction, Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

But it is just one of the sweet endings in restaurants across the Vacation Kingdom saluting Expedition Everest, a high-speed runaway train adventure featuring a frightful encounter with the mystical yeti.

"The chefs had a lot of fun creating desserts to celebrate this grand new adventure," said Dieter Hannig, senior vice president of Walt Disney World Food & Beverage. "The peaks of Everest took chefs' talents to exciting new heights."
