Disney World Resort - Storm barely makes a dent in Central Florida tourism

The Orlando area's $25 billion a year tourism industry was buffeted by Hurricane Wilma's long reach but the storm swept out to sea so fast that much of the industry was back in business by late Monday.

Tourists at SeaWorld made the best of the soggy day, dodging raindrops at the one major Orlando park that defied the stormy weather and opened on schedule. SeaWorld's sister park, Discovery Cove, also opened early in the day, to the relief of many visitors eager to swim with the dolphins -- rain or shine.

"This is like a normal day back home," said Mick Eldridge, visiting from Great Britain with his girlfriend, two children and grandparents.
