Construction is underway on the newest attraction at the Disneyland Resort – Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (scheduled to open in the spring of 2007). Meanwhile, the resort’s well-known transportation system – the Disneyland Monorail – will operate with one train and provide resort Guests with one-way trips between the Tomorrowland and Downtown Disney District stations.

The growing trend of smoke-free hotels is spreading to Disneyland.

Pirates of the Caribbean, the classic Disney theme park adventure brought to the big screen in "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl," is adding new characters and features from the blockbuster entertainment franchise and debuting when the next adventure begins in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest."

The Disneyland 50th anniversary celebration continues in full swing as the Disneyland Resort rolled-out the spotted, blue carpet today in a gala Hollywood-style premiere for the grand opening of its all-new attraction “Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!” The new attraction, inspired by Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, Monsters, Inc., is located in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot section of Disney’s California Adventure park at the Disneyland Resort.

SynXis announced today that they have been chosen by Disneyland Resort Hotels(R) as its new distribution partner for the three resort hotels in Anaheim, Calif. They will begin using SynXis at the end of 2005.

As Disneyland's 50th Anniversary "Happiest Celebration on Earth" continues in full swing, the Disneyland Resort will be decked out for the holidays with dazzling décor, magical parades, and festive shows and attractions every day from November 11 through January 2.

Dust off those running shoes -- Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle, Disneyland Resort President Matt Ouimet and Mickey Mouse announced today plans for the inaugural Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend scheduled for September 15-17, 2006. Nearly 10,000 runners are expected to participate in the "Happiest Race on Earth," a 13.1-mile road race that will take runners through Disney's California Adventure and Disneyland Park. Runners will cruise such world-renown attractions as the Matterhorn and Sleeping Beauty Castle on their way to Angel Stadium and Arrowhead Pond then finally to the race's finish line at the ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney where every participant will be awarded with a medal in the shape of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Now that the busy season is supposedly over, Roger Colton takes his family down to the Disneyland Resort for what he thinks will be a quiet fall weekend at the theme park. Little did he realize that the crowds continue to hang on at "The Happiest Place on Earth" ...
