The Funai Classic had scored a coup of sorts this week with three of the top four players in the world rankings teeing it up at Walt Disney World Resort.
As late-season events, the Funai and next week's Chrysler Championship have had trouble attracting a high-powered field in recent years.
But world No. 1 Tiger Woods, a two-time winner here, had returned after skipping last year to get married and honeymoon with wife Elin.
No. 2 Vijay Singh was back, of course, as the PGA Tour ironman finished off another great season.
